Hanging Rock print given to town of Heath Springs
By Comporium Communications release
The Lancaster News November 6, 2006
HEATH SPRINGS - The framed print is a reproduction of the "Battle of Hanging Rock," and Heath Springs Mayor Ann Taylor plans to display it at Town Hall in Heath Springs.

The reproduction is signed by the artist, Boyd Saunders. His original painting is hanging in the S.C. State Museum in Columbia.

You may recognize the artwork as the cover of the Lancaster County phone book. Information about the painting and the artist is contained in the information pages at the front of the book.

The Battle of Hanging Rock took place on Aug. 6, 1780, and helped turn the tide against the British.

Comporium Communications had prints made of the Hanging Rock artwork.

The limited edition prints are numbered and signed by the artist.
