Lancaster Reports November 2007 See Lancaster Christmas Events 2008 Christmas Ornament Winterfest. Santa Express. Lancaster Christmas parade. A special new Christmas ornament added to the on-going series. These are a few of the plans See Lancaster has made for this year’s seasonal happenings. See
Correction of information above: If you miss this event, come to the Welcome Center the following day to purchase your ornament or stop in at one of the Lancaster county businesses that will be carrying it. See Lancaster will again present the Santa Express round trip ride on December 1 and 2, from the L & C Railroad in Lancaster to Heath Springs for kids, young and old. An extra day has been added to this year’s event doubling the number of tickets available. Ticket costs, availability, and method of distribution are being determined and will be available soon. A new event has been planned for December 1 and 2, coinciding with the Santa Express. The Town of Heath Springs is inviting everyone to come join them for Winterfest. The hours for both days will be 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. Artisans have been invited to demonstrate and exhibit their fine arts and crafts. You will find beautiful pottery, including a Catawba Indian artist, woodworkers and blacksmiths, weavers and quilters, and much more. Winterfest will also include a "little" train to ride and other fun things for children. There will be plenty of food vendors to satisfy all tastes. In addition, pictures will be taken with Santa while Mrs. Santa supervises. Join the excitement in Heath Springs at Winterfest which is open to the public. You do not have to ride the Santa Express to attend this free event. Come finish (or begin) your Christmas shopping. This will definitely be a popular place to be. Check out our web site at www.seelancaster.org for additional information on these and other county-wide seasonal events. Remember, application deadline for the Lancaster Christmas Parade is Monday, November 19. New items are being added to our gift shop. Include a visit to the Welcome Center at 201 W. Gay Street as part of your holiday shopping. |
